Bali has become the main manufacturing location for organic jewelry. It is an island to the east of Java in the Indonesian Archipelago and home to many traditional jewelry craftsmen. The jewelry designs remind you of the tribal tattoos common to this part of the world. Unlike the other islands of Indonesia the population doesn't follow either the majority Islam or the minority Christian religion. Instead more than 90% of Balinese follow the much older Hindu religion. This has led to much of this older culture and skills surviving in Bali. You can see some of the local architecture designs in many of the organic jewelry pieces.
